A bay or bow window is not just a window unit dropped into a hole in the wall. Roof Cap

Structural Support System

The framing that carries the weight of the projection. Ground-floor installations typically use a knee wall built from the floor system out to the base of the window. Head and Sill Framing

The existing wall framing above and below the window opening is typically modified to accommodate the projection. Seat Board and Interior

Seat board installed over insulated knee wall cavity. Interior apron trim fitted. Window operation tested on all operable panels. Interior painted or finished to match existing room.

Final Inspection
